About the event

In partnership with Noblesville Parks + Rec, this 5-week experiential workshop will teach participants how to engage their senses to live more mindfully in the present. Thursday night sessions are for Adults, and Tuesday night sessions are for Tweens. Please view the Tween event page for those specific details. 

Workshop for Adults - Thursdays

Mindful Living: A 5 week experiential workshop series on how to engage your senses to live more mindfully in the present.

5 Week Itinerary:

Each session will include time for reflection, discussion, and engaging lessons about living mindfully by utilizing the 5 senses in your everyday life, focusing on a different sense each week.

Week 1: Hi, Five. Intro to the Mind-Body Connection // What is Mindful Living. In this introductory session, you’ll meet Kelsee and get to know your fellow participants, while doing a deep dive into the mind-body connection and what mindfulness is.

Week 2: Your Daily Servings of Mindfulness: Mindful Eating and Smelling Participants will be provided light refreshments and guided through a challenge of eating mindfully, as if they’ve never experienced this substance before.

Week 3: You Are Here: Finding Full Body and Spatial Awareness Through Mindful Movement. Participants are instructed to dress in a little more comfy / flexible clothing this week, as we explore mindful movement this week. Participants will be surprised to find that mindful movement is not limited to exercise.

Week 4: Open Ears, Open Eyes, Open Minds: Listening and Seeing Mindfully. This session will include an exploration into visualization, concentration, and a taste of different types of mediation. Participants will learn tips and tricks for concentration that will enhance their relationships and communication.

Week 5: Putting It All Together: Nature Hike Finale Experience. Participants are instructed to bundle up and wear clothing/shoes that they’ll be comfortable going on a hike in. We will also provide warm beverages. Participants will be challenged to hike in silence and with minimal distractions (phones away) in order to engage as many of the senses at once as possible during the hike.
